1932   Louis Van Dael sets up VADA, a smeltery for animal fats. His three sons (responsible for purchase, sale and output respectively) bring about a considerable expansion.
1971   VADA merges with Antwerpse Vetcentrale. This new entity continues his activities under the acronym AVC VADA.
1981   Luk Wouters, a sales and marketing expert, becomes an important associate in AVC VADA.
1986   Hugo Ooms, an industrial ingeneer, also joins the firm. Both partners instigate an significant expansion.
1987   AVC VADA takes over the VED smeltery in Wilrijk and as a result of this becomes the most important smeltery in the Antwerp region.
1993   The production department is almost completely destroyed by fire. Six months later, the new production unit is fully operational.
